It’s absolutely beautiful and pairs perfectly with our whiskey decanter, making it a piece we’re proud to leave out on display.Although it’s listed as an 18oz shaker in the additional product details section, the actual capacity is 14oz. That’s still plenty for most drinks, though you’ll be mixing one at a time. It’s heavier than a traditional metal shaker, but that weight comes with a serious upgrade in style. The diamond-cut glass is stunning, and the smooth, rounded lid and cap complement it perfectly. The included recipe book is a nice touch to get you started if unfamiliar with drink recipes or if you are looking for something new to try.There’s a silicone gasket in the lid that creates a tight seal, no leaks so far. And because it’s glass, you get more shaking time before the cold transfers to your hands, which is a nice bonus. The glass is thick and feels durable; I’m not worried about breakage unless it’s dropped from a decent height onto a hard surface.The price is right in line with similar styles, but after using this one, I’d be hard pressed to recommend anything else. This is the perfect size for making one cocktail. The glass is thick and sturdy without feeling heavy. It handled muddling fruit with no problems. The textured design is very pretty and gives you a good grip for opening the tight-fitting top. The top is good quality metal and it fits very tight… a little challenging to put on and pull off, but definitely no spillage while you are shaking your drink. Liquids pour well from the opening. It comes with a drink recipe booklet that I am working my way through. Overall it is beautiful and looks good displayed on my small bar. Seems like an excellent value for the price.
