And it doesn’t hurt that the old-fashioned somewhat perfectly reflects your enthusiastic attitude and practical perspective.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon Sugar
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes Orange bitters
2 oz Scotch whiskey orbourbon
● Optional:orange or lemon peel, soda water

Instructions

In a large glass, mix the sugar into the bitters until it dissolves.
Add the whiskey and a few large ice cubes to the glass and stir to chill the cocktail.
Strain into a cold old-fashioned glass to serve.
Optional: dilute the whiskey slightly with a splash of soda water for a milder drink, and garnish with your chosen citrus peel.
